Ubuntu: usb-modeswitch not working for Alcatel Modem One Touch X080C



Question:

I have the aforesaid modem, and it gets detected as a CD Drive and a USB Mass Storage device. Usb-Modeswitch doesnt work. I think something is wrong with my modeswitch address pointers.
