Ubuntu: Ubuntu 16.04 & Apple bluetooth keyboard problem

Question:

I'm able to pair my Apple bluetooth keyboard to my new install of Ubuntu 16.04. Looking it up in bluetoothctl and the gui it says it is connected, paired and trusted. I've tried adding & removing it multiple times and when I get it to pair it does allow me to type for up to about 20 seconds before it stops. After that I can't get it to type again unless I turn everything off and reconnect it all again (and only get another 20 seconds of use out of it)

Here's my info from bluetoothctl:

Device 04:DB:56:CB:6D:55 Name: Someone’s Keyboard Alias: Someone’s Keyboard Class: 0x002540 Icon: input-keyboard Paired: yes Trusted: yes Blocked: no Connected: yes LegacyPairing: no UUID: Human Interface Device... (00001124-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34cd) UUID: PnP Information (00001200-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34cd) Modalias: usb:v05ACp0255d0060

Anyone have any ideas what the issue could be? Spent a few hours on it but can't figure it out. Thanks!
