Ubuntu: (please)conky rings doesn't work “Conky: llua_do_call: function conky_clock_rings execution failed: attempt to call a nil value”



Question:

I will start by saying that I configured a conky file and made it work, but when I added lua rings it ran without having to restart, but once I restarted the rings wouldn't start up, I got the error message in the title, here is my conky script

please help, what is wrong with it?

I had the same issue in 16.04. I solved with sudo apt install conky-all -y.

if not value then      value=0  end

You can solve you problem by adding this lines to your lua script:
